South Seas Resort Wedding | Helene + Mike

Mike and Helene had a Captiva Island wedding that was truly one of the most beautiful weddings we had ever seen.  Everything about it was spectacular.  On Sunday November 10, 2013 Helene arrived by horse and carriage to Sunset Cove at South Seas Island Resort. Here, under a tent facing the ocean, 160 guests looked on as the couple said their vows.  On the west lawn of South Seas, another tent was set for a night of dinner and dancing.  A good time was had by all.  Congratulations Mike and Helene on your wedding! xo

South Seas Resort Wedding | Michelle + Luke

On Saturday June 22, 2013 Michelle and Luke had a beautiful destination wedding at South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island.   They were wed at Sunset Cove and then guests boarded on a trolly and headed over to the West Lawn for the one of the prettiest tent reception's I have seen.  This wedding was so much fun that all though later on it was pouring rain out, I don't think the guests and our couple even noticed as they danced NON STOP under the tent all night long.  Thank goodness for wedding planners.  A big congratulations to our new couple and thank you for sharing your day with us.  Movie trailer to follow...stay tuned.  xo

On Saturday April 13, 2013 Mary and Kyle were married at Sunset Cove at South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island.  The weather was breezy and perfect for this destination wedding of about 160 guests. The reception continued on under a tent at the Kings Crown Lawn.  I had 2 favorite details from this wedding.  One was the cake made by Kakes By Karen.  I just love the unique cake topper.  The other was the tent.  Look down at a quick picture of how gorgeous this set up really is.  Congratulations to Mary and Kyle.  xo

Monday's have been very popular this year for weddings.  I kinda like it.

On Monday, August 13, 2012 Kelly and Chase traveled from Michigan to get married on Sunset Cove at South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island.  I really love these monogramed hangers.  I think I need to get one.  Congratulations Kelly and Chase, your destination wedding was just perfect and there was no rain   - only blue skies :)

South Seas Island Resort Wedding - Kendrick + Rue

Another awesome destination wedding at South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island!  Kendrick and Rue came all the way from Kentucky and got married on Saturday June 23, 2012.  Their wedding was full of some amazing details, and you know how Steven and I just love details.  Kendrick's shoes were to die for, as you can see.  I REALLY loved these shoes.  Okay, well besides the shoes, Kendrick and Rue's wedding cake was over the top.  There were over 2,700 piped pearls on this cake.  WOW ! Best of luck newlyweds.  We wish you many years of happiness!

South Seas Island Resort Wedding - Jason and Marie

On Friday September 30, 2011 Jason and Marie were wed on Sunset Cove at the beautiful South Seas Island Resort. This is such a spectacular location, below are a few pictures so you can see what an awesome spot it is.  The water is blue as can be, and there is always an ocean breeze to enjoy.  After the ceremony, guests took a trolly to Kings Crown Ballroom for cocktail hour and their reception.  We were joined by Krista and Emily from Impressions Photography who you can see in one of the pictures below taking a quick picture of our bride and groom.  DJ Ron Rutz was on hand, as well as John from South Seas making sure that everything was perfect for our newlyweds.  The last picture is of Steven doing his thing.  Congratulations to Jason and Marie.  Coming soon....Their Movie Trailer :)

Leigh Anne and J.C.  had a great wedding at South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island on Monday June 6, 2011 and we were happy to be there to capture it all!  We started with our bride and groom as they were about to do a first sighting.  Meanwhile, guests were boarding the trolly to head down to Sunset Cove for their intimate beach ceremony.  We were thrilled to see Dr. Dan Lamey there, to perform the ceremony.  We always love working with him.  We also enjoyed working with Tiffany from Impressions Photography, who was there to capture this destination wedding.  The cake was from Mason's Bakery and the flowers were from Captiva Blooms.
